Althea's big day- June 2012

Booker T- Washington
Success is to be measured, not so much by the accomplishment that one has made in life;
But by the obstacles that one has overcome while trying to achieve.

 Althea's experience has been one of trials and tribulations but she is the epitome of one who does not give up an a dream in the face of insurmountable obstacles, even when those dreams, take a while to materialized. Proud of you Althea. Continue on the ladder of success as you strive to achieve even higher heights  and greater depths. You are a wonderful example.             Althea Johnson, RN, BSN

Mama's 70th- June 2012

Psalm 90:10
Seventy years are given to us! Some even live to eighty. But even the best years are filled with pain and trouble; soon the disappeared and fly away.  New Living Translation.

And so on  this her 70th day of birth,  we want our mama to be able to smell the roses that are handed to her,  partake of the festivities of the day, hear our proclamation of  love for her, all while she can respond. Thanks Mama Dukes for making our family what it is - great. For all the sacrifices,  your out pouring of love, the sleepless nights, calling our names individually in prayer, the  spiritual stalwart that you are and continue to be. We know these have not been easy years. You have endured your share of pains, tribulations and troubles but we say thank you and thank God for sustaining and carrying you thus far.  You can walk, talk, take care of your own needs, COOK the best meals, and most of all, in your rightful mind, and a mind that is directed towards your Creator. May God in His mercy and grace continue to grant you many more quality years. We love yah!
